And while i'm at i may as well slot in the pathetic melee present in the game which is just bloody ludicrous. Unless you're enemy is an absolute potato than 99% of the time the person who shoots first or hits the first bullet wins the fight and outplaying someone is neigh impossible due to the fact that by the time you realise you're being shot in the back or from an unknown angle you're already dead. I don't expect to never die i just expect some leniency in terms of the constant death via being shot in the back or sniped by an smg across the map. I can not count the number of times i have shot some guy with a small burst from my smg across the map as he's walking out of my LOS and about of escape and i still kill him before he can escape or even react, not to mention all of the times i've been on the receiving end. Even the best players die all the time because of it due to the fact it is so fast with some weapons it often times entirely cancels out the entire movement system as a reasonable option to avoid these weapons because all it takes is on small burst and you're dead. This game has some of the most ridiculous times to kill of any fps i've ever played, it is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to a point where unless you have phase you're going to die. Time to kill is next up on the chopping block and this one is a doozy. Now there's a whole bunch of other causal factors in regards to this issue however i don't want to get carried away.

Pair this with cloak/AWOL plus a good window or building and that poor guy using the movement system and flying around the map is done for. Not to mention guns like the devotion, G2, any AR in general, spitfire etc.

So now you've got a fight in which both sides have aim assist except the guy in the air is fighting the camera as he jumps from wall to wall and flies around whereas the guy on the ground has no such issues to compensate for. You see aim assist only works when you're moving and not when you're standing still and you might think "Great so then what's the issue? Players who are using the movement system to it's fullest potential get that little helping hand so as to not make aiming impossible right?" Not necessarily because all the player situated on the ground has to do is strafe left and right slightly or initiate a slow walk and aim assist kicks in.

Due to the high time to kill and (if you're on console) the aim assist, players who camp and use basic tactics are often able to easily kill players who are using the movement system to it's fullest potential because the aim assist is very exploitable. Mind you there is still a skill gap but in my opinion it's far to small. (This issue is primarily related to console due to the higher amount of casual players) This leads on to my next point which is the lack of any sort of real skill gap in players of the highest tier and of the lowest. This is also probably part of the reason there are so many campers and people who don't even bother using the movement system at all and instead stick to running around on ground level or using very basic lanes and tactics. It's incredibly frustrating, especially for newer players and people who aren't masters of b-hopping and air strafing. Also, some of these afore mentioned angular corners look like they would allow you to wall run around them but instead throw you off the wall. Sure you have maps like Dry-Dock with their angular corners that allow you to run around them however it's not made clear to the player that you can simply stick to that wall and keep running around it.

Why does every map have so many 90 degree corners and very few bends and curves that allow for wall running? In making maps with corners like this all over the place you create small lanes in which you can build speed and then have to stop and turn the corner, inherently decreasing your speed (unless, of course, you know how to B-hop proficiently which isn't even an intended feature). The map design is, quite frankly, really bad on a lot of if not most of the maps in the game aside from a select few and it comes down to a few issues primarily the geometry of the maps and the map flow. I've noticed just how awful the game is in a lot of areas including Map design, gunplay, weapon balance, titan balance, lag issues etc. and i'm starting to really see the cracks.

b-hopping/slide hopping, aiming, titan combat etc. Now i've gotten to a point where i've basically mastered the game and it's mechanics i.e. I've been playing a lot of Titanfall 2 in the last month having just picked it up and fallen in love with the game.
